Welcome to BPRD, we are a Hellboy RPG set after the second movie. Our game is built upon on a foundation of information and rules implemented for your convenience. Make sure to read everything, it is imperative that you do so before joining.

An occasional announcement or update made by staff will be posted here. We will do our best to inform everyone but its your duty to check this board out once in a while. Activity checks will done through here as well.

The help centers is for questions and inquiries on any subject of the game you might have before you sign up. We also accept constructive criticism and suggestions for improvements to help us make BPRD a better place.

The board is provided to gather your thoughts on your next move and if you wish to include anyone in your path, but remember board wide plots must be passed inspection by the administrator. The perfect place to mull over plots for your characters and speak with the staff about suggestions you might have. Strictly for use of game play only.

Located in Trenton, New Jersey the unassuming waste management facility is in fact a cover for the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. Charged with protecting America and the world from the occult, paranormal and supernatural the Bureau is home to many oddities, including the infamous Hellboy. A trip down the elevator shaft brings you into the honeycomb hive like structure of the facility where it is categorized in numbered sections. A labyrinth of hallways and corridors lead you to literally hundreds of places from the late Professor Broom's office turned library to the Ready Room used for missions and statements.

A majestic crumbling empire of elves kept secret from the upper worlds. What could be mistaken for a oil refinery, the entrance is hidden within an old abandoned warehouse. Upon entering there are a league of Butcher guards, guarding the entrance to the kingdom. Once you disarm yourself of any weapon you posses you are free to enter the King's council. Massive pipes rise up like columns and at the stretch of a long hall is a large throne chair. Often councilmen, lords and ladies are seated on opposite sides of the room. The wall behind the throne pipes splay out in the vague fashion of tree limbs, perhaps a foreshadowing of the future of the elven race.

Located underneath the Brooklyn Bridge and reached via the back of a butcher shop, it’s one of the few places where freaks don’t feel like outcasts. Magical beings are the only ones who can access the market, a haven crowded with potion vendors and artifact mongers that’s been hidden from human eyes for millennia. Entered via a 12’-high circular doorway comprised of rotating gears—an intricate locking structure that few can interpret—the Troll Market is packed to the rafters with everything an underworlder might need: discarded items from the city above, off-market novelties such as human skin, a barber shop, an opium den, a giant meat grinder and a community message board. It’s also, naturally, packed with trolls.

What is it like to have the world at your fingertips? There are thing that we do not know of, of monsters and demons and nightmares and yet we share the same planet. Assignments take bureau agents all across the world and not everyone was born in America. Take your pick, the world is your oyster.

Once a brilliant and beautiful city, it has been reduced to rubble and ash over the hundreds of years, destroyed by the very presence of the Golden Army. Built into the caverns of the world, remnants of massive column holding up once towering architectures surround the center structure of the army. Littered like lost toys the Golden machines have been abandoned and forgotten and left to rot in silence.

Past, present and future. Your life is not set stone and it is free to make of it as you will. This board is for any past storylines, possible future ones and a all around fun and ooc game area for the crack inspired. Posting here does not count towards your three threads.

To those that venture outside of the RPG. Sit and rest from a hard day at work. Take a breath and step away from your role and be your regular self. A place to enjoy games and talk amongst one another but do consider your fellow player's feelings and keep in mind on what is acceptable to chat about.

Our game room is filled with friendly competitions to simple silly fun among good people. We also allow in internet quizzes and memes you've done. Make sure to share them with everyone, we do so love them. All of our games reside here for your enjoyment.

Completed and old threads are placed here easy archival and reading. This also includes dead applications and OOC banter. Nothing is thrown away in BPRD but kept for the memories.
