Hey all, realized the other day that I never really told anyone about myself. *ignores the overwhelming uninterest* When I got spotlight'd, I felt rather guilty about my total lack of OOC involvement in this game. So here goes:

My screen name is Vani, I'm, uh... way past 20! I love Hellboy, and all sorts of fantastic themes in entertainment, though my studies in literature and art has made me more and more picky about books. Today I can barely stand any writer besides Terry Pratchett. My biggest beef with most fantasy and horror authors is that they take their stories so damn seriously. If an evil overlord of ultimate evilness is to destroy everything, I want a laugh now and then thrown in.

I'm an old anime junkie, but left the big eyed world behind since I got sick of the objectification and horrible portrayal of most female characters in shows I liked. I still worship The Slayers, Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo though.

I'm not native in English, so I appreciate if people point out my grammatical errors or anything else that makes me look like a total tard. I work as a stewardess on a cruise ship, which means that I work ten days straight and then get ten days off. It's incredible hard work, and you get kind of sick of drunk people, but it's good pay and you toughen up a great deal.

I've rp:ed now and then since six years back. I have a great love for non-heroic, not-so-pretty characters, as you can see with Sven and Ingegerd. I've never just been very interested in heroes. Sven I hope to make Nuada's two-timing little lap dog and Ingegerd I can't really decide on. It's either have her trying to be a hero and constantly muck up, or going totally crazy and be all "killKILLKIIIILLL-humanity-with-crushing-DEEEATH!!!1" Can't decide which would be funnier, really.

I don't do as much reading as I used to, I know I know, I can feel my brain melting as it is. But I do like James Patterson and you gotta love some of the classics like Stephen Donaldson and Robert Jordan. So props to Terry Pratchett, I used to read Discworld but it's been ages ago though one never forgets the elephants and turtle. I heard there might be a Cowboy Bebop movie, I also like that series, but I dunno if it's true or not. I haven't actively searched it out for fear of. I also heard the rumor of Keanu Reeves as Spike and I'm not sure if that should hurt my soul or not. Hey, look what happened to John Constantine.

Heh, never would have guessed non native but heck, I was born here in the US and I still have trouble with it. Just ask Frankie and my attempts at talking on the phone. I've worked with drunks before and I completely sympathize with you. They're never fun to be around.

I vote killing with Ingegerd, just because I don't have any characters that do. Minus Nuada, he doesn't count. I don't think I've got a chance to say this, but I love your characters. They're not heroes nor what Hollywood considers beautiful/handsome and I commend ya for that. We need more characters like that! I look forward to all of our threads colliding in the troll market XD I've been really wanting to RP with ya and that shall hopefully be soon.

Robert Jordan was one of my favorites as a kid, may he rest in peace. I'm probably gonna read the last book, just to see how everything went. Two authors I also forgot yesterday was Meredith Ann Pierce and Diana Wynne Jones - they will forever be in my heart.

If Keanu Reeves plays Spike I think I will..! Actively not watch it? He really sunk Constantine, I nearly wept at the end when he popped a gum in his mouth. Comic!Constantine would have lit one up and just walked on.

Yes, killing would be more fun. And face it, the board has enough heroes, we need more genocidal psychos. I'm a little indecisive about how to write it believably though. At the moment, I'm trying to portray Ingegerd as very unbalanced and desperate. Even if she won't admit it (of course), she really is hoping that there is a world out there where she can feel accepted, and if she sees that the world is dying, and realizes it's the humans' fault= killKILLKILL-THEM-ALL-WITH-CRUSHING-DEEEEAAATH!!1DX? I don't know, feels like she needs some sort of trauma on top of it. Suggestions, anyone?

I feel your pain with working with dumb passangers from cruise ships. I can say this because I'm one of those people who get to 'baby-sit' them when they decide to go on tours when they pull into a port. I've been asked some of the dumbest questions by tourists, so dumb it makes me wonder how the heck they remember to breathe! Seriously.

I'm a big reader myself. I love all sorts of books. My all time favorite is The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. I also enjoy books by James Patterson and I'm currently re-reading the first three Dune books.

Anyway, I'm going to go pass out, it's seriously way past my bedtime, and I need to get up early.... Like in less than 5hrs so I can return the rental car....
