Hello everyone, I'm Basil, and I've been looking for an RPG based on the works of Mike Mignola and the films by Guillermo del Toro for a while. This entailed a great internet odyssey of Google searches always linking me to Twilight or Stargate RPGs filled with horrendous, psychotic fiends, and I even made a site vaguely based on Hellboy (it died, sadly).
So yes, I'm quite glad I found this place. And no worries about my not knowing the "lore", I've seen both films and I read all the comic books.
I am also French, not that it matters much, lol.

Glad you found your way over here! Not too many Hellboy RPGs around and even fewer that are still active. I know, I've tried to affiliate with them. We're not horrible, but one or two may be a fiend here, I don't need to mention any names. Tabby. And we're all a little less than sane but it goes with the territory.
BPRD's been around for about a year a halfish now and before that, I tried to run a Hellboy inspired game myself. Didn't go so well either lol and before that, I helped run a Hellboy panfandom game that had about a year's run. I was going to make a connection there but I seemed to have lost it. XD Anyways, great to see a fan of both Mike Mignola and Guillermo del Toro and welcome, welcome!
Have you had a chance to see the cartoon movies? They're really well done. And Fench? Awesome. I'm Dutch German and Japanese.

I have indeed seen one of the animated movies, but I can't remember its name...also don't worry about me getting freaked out by the site's members, I've seen way worse.

I know I'm a bit late in chiming in, but I'm very excited to have you here and am also uber excited about your character. He seems like he'll be quite fun.
Yes, I'm awful at elaboration (some times). But welcome!

I (Olive) am a Euro-mutt...including--as I recently found out--1/16 Saami from the Finnish area of the Sami-cultural region (spans Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia) [Map], Irish, German/Dutch, English and French. So yes, a Euro-mutt Y...hablo Español. (I speak spanish)...un poco Edit 2: as I've said before Cleese is golden...I would hug him! (and Patrick Stewart among others)

Hey, Basil. Welcome to BPRD. The little Hazy-duck (aka, me) is American, but I do claim a Heinz-57 variety heritage, including French, German, United Kingdom (Dunno if it's Scottish or British), a touch of Irish, and several varieties of American Indian blood. And Olive, I too hablo Español un poco, and would gladly hug John Cleese and Patrick Stewart if given the opportunity. Just saying.
