Appearance: I don't see anything wrong with the appearance right off the bat, and since you asked for some help when it came to finding the PB for him, I'd suggest checking out the male model thread in bellazon for him. Male models tend to be lankier and thinner than most guys.
CLICK THE LINKYPower List: Celtic (Druidic) magic.
Detailed Power: Alright, this is where we hit the first problem. You need to actually list THREE powers he has. Celtic Magic just doesn't cut it. It's vague and well honestly all the things you listed he can do with this magic? Way too much. So tone it down and settle on three specific things he can do.
Personality: I just want to say that the first couple of sentences make me think of an old man who must use a cane to get around....
Again, with the powers thing. Some of what you listed in here are powers... The ability to shape shift for example. Be wary of adding extra powers into any other area as we'll ALWAYS find them.
So had to come back up here after reading some of his skills. He was in some sort of magic box for some 1400 years?! So basically he'd only have about 200 years of history he'd know about personally to actually talk about. Also I would think him being in the box for even three maybe four real life years (which is about what it would round out to with how you explained it) would have dramatically stunted/altered his personality. I would think it would have made him seriously socially inept.
Skills: Not understanding why time was different inside the box. Hopefully it's explained elsewhere in the bio. I really am not understanding the box's difference.
Some of what you listed in here should also be part of his personality. Deep thinker and patience.
History: OK, just so it's known - I myself have done a lot of research about Druids and their problems with the Romans - as I've always been quite fascinated by ancient history and also these tie in quite heavily with Evadne's history. Historically, the last battle between the Druid's and the Romans was about 61 A.D. on Anglesey Island (which was also called Druid's Island).
The fact that “druid terrorists” lived in Anglesey meant that in 61 AD, Suetonius Paulinus managed to get his army across the Menai Strait and massacred the druids and burnt their sacred groves. The Romans remained aware, however, that the druids might continue to pose a problem and hence they constructed the fortress of Segontium, present Caernarfon, on the edge of the Menai Strait, to make sure that what little remained of an intact Celtic culture remained on Anglesey – and did not try to seed dissent in “Roman Britain”.
You should also know that the Druids disappeared from written records by the second century. There are of course theories about what happened to them. One is that they, like some Native American tribes, became extinct (through dying from disease, being killed off by war or both). Another is that they converted to Christianity and left the old ways behind, no longer carrying the traditions of their religion. Yet, another is that, while they appeared to be Christian converts, they still secretly practiced their religion.
Also - In 406AD Emperor Honorius withdrew troops from Britain to defend the Rhine region from invading Barbarians. Two years later a directive was sent from the Emperor to all major towns in Britain telling the local govenors that they were responsible for their own defense. So basically they wouldn't have cared enough to try to stomp out various Germatic tribes as they were already seeing Britian as a lost cause.
So in my opinion, you need to redo your time line and reconsider when your character was born. As what I have stated above is historical and you can find with a little bit of research yourself.
OK moving on. So for two hundred years your character had no interaction at all with any living being (IE Humanoid)? How old was he when this went about? Because if he was a small child, I'd have thought that he would have grown up to be basically a wild child/ almost Jersey Devil like creature. No social skills what-so-ever, no way to really communicate with those around him. Basically a wild animal.
Druids - see my above comments on this.
Why would he annihilate those who helped train him? Or was he really that bent on destroying all humans that he became cold and indifferent to the people whom had taken him in and in a way shared his beliefs when it came to nature? This really doesn't make any sense, because basically what you're telling me here is that he's a cold, unfeeling murderer.
How did your character know to cast this ward of stasis around himself? And really -- you have yet to explain the time difference with the box. Please do so.
That's basically all I have at the moment. Please make sure you do your research!
