The Handler
Name: Anathair.
Nickname: None.
Classification: Naga.
Gender: Female.
Age & Birthday: Thousands of years ago, exact date unknown.
Appearance: While she does take on the appearance of the human she has possessed, it is more than modified. Tall and lanky, she has little to no curves, and hardly any meat on her bones. The human was a bit more heavier when Anathair first possessed her, but because this creature eats nothing but rats and other small rodents, she has lost a significant amount of weight. But that is most certainly not the only thing that has changed.
Her hair, once a medium brown in color, is now streaked and tinted with blue – as is her skin, which has taken on a scaly texture as well. She does back patches of blue scales in various places, mostly on her forehead and hairline. Her eyes have turned reptilian, with a single black slit down the middle, and the pupil’s overall color is an unnatural blue. Her lips have also taken on a very light blu-ish tint, and her tongue has been split down the middle like that of a snakes.
Attire: What she wears is far from human-like as well. It is a leather bodice that has been molded perfectly to her skin. Various shades of blue, black and red in color, it is most certainly an outfit fitting of a snake - with a scale-like texture. It allows her to stretch her bodies in ways that no human can, and it also shows that she is far from human. She would never even entertain the idea of wearing human clothes, or any other outfit for that matter.
The Creation
Name: Anathair, and that is all you may call her!
Power List:
[x]Super-human strength.
[x]Venomous fangs.
[x]Magical/spell-casting abilities.
Detailed Power: As a Naga, in her true form, she was much more powerful that she is now. She used to be a creature with the lower body of a serpent - but now, she has been reduced to simply a creature trapped in a human body. While she does have powers, they were nowhere near what they once were.
The first, and most useful perhaps, is her strength. Like a snake, she can crush through flesh bone with a simple squeeze. Her muscles are more developed than those of a human, and she has more muscles than most animals as well – except of course, for the snake. Secondly, even though she has been brought back as a human, she still retains some physical features of a snake – such as her fangs. She is venomous, in the literal sense of the word, and if she gets those elongated, extendable fangs into your skin… You will be dead in under 30 minutes. She can also spit venom like a cobra might, and is able to dislocate her jaw in order to swallow prey larger than her mouth.
She is experienced in magic, spells, summons, and curses, but only uses them as a last resort – or if she needs to use glamour and disguise herself as a 'normal' human. She is not entirely fond of using magic when she could just use her strength and/or venom... Spells take too long.
Unfortunately, though, because of her human shell, any power she uses will drain her strength. She can do simple spells, and use her physical strength when she needs to without worrying about it draining her, but other than that… She becomes very weak, very easily, because her human shell cannot sustain her power. She has come close to what can only be described as an overload of power multiple times, and has learned to tone it down a bit.
The Potential
Alignment/Occupation: Part of Nuada’s regiment.
Weapons: She usually does not need anything more than her powers, but she will use an axe if it is necessary.
Personality: Because she used to be such a large and powerful beast, she is way too egotistical for her own good. Even while she is stuck inside a human, she still acts as if she is all powerful, even if she isn’t. She will never admit to be anything less than what she was thousands of years ago, no matter how obvious it is. Even when she is at her weakest from using too much of her power at one time, she will make excuses to herself and others. You dare call her weak, or mention that she isn’t as strong as she once was, she will show you how strong she is – even if it kills her.
It is really not possible to tell if there is any sort of heart beneath the heartless, hard shell of hers – but if she finds that someone or something benefits her, she will be relatively pleasant to them, as long as they do what she wants, and does not defy her. She is also, quite simply put, very violent. She enjoys inflicting pain on others, whether it be in combat, or just torture for the pure fun of it.
Skills:
[x]Her powers, of course. Of course, she may believe she is wayyy more powerful than she actually is, she can be a formidable opponent. In a hand-to-hand battle, she will most likely be the victor, simply because of her strength. But, if one knows her weaknesses, and is able to draw out the battle, unfortunately, she will lose a lot of her energy over a short period of time. Quite simply - fast battle, she'll win, a drawn out one, she'll lose.
[x]She can speak all language known to man and animal. Of course, she perfers the language of the serpents, and her native tongues from when she was a true Naga - such as Egyptian, Greek, and Arabic - but she can speak English, and can talk to other animals if it is needed. Such as if she is hunting for a rodent, and needs to lure them her way.
[x]Agility and flexibility. Much like a snake, she can bend her body in ways most think is impossible. Humans call this 'contortionism', and it is quite true. Her longer-than-normal, flexible spine allows her to literally bend over backwards and put her head between her legs, but she doesn't usually do that just for show. She will use such an ability in a battle if it is needed, or to sneak about.
Strengths:
[x] Her physical strength. It is most certainly a force to be reckoned with. As I said before, if she gets a grip on your arm, she can crush the bones in one simple squeeze. If she could actually manage to wrap her body around someone, she will do something much like a boa does - every time her prey intakes their breath, she would squeeze tighter, and not allow it to breath back out. Eventually, this would either cause suffocation, internal bleeding, a broken spine - or any mixture of the three.
[x]Hand to hand combat, she is not fond of using weapons most of the time. While she does have a battle axe, she is not too fond of it. For a final kill after she has incapacitated the enemy, she might use it, but she prefers to use her fangs and venom most of the time to finish someone off.
[x]Mental strength. She will not be manipulated mentally, or taken advantage of. Having been such a powerful leader when she was in her true form, she herself has a gift of motivating people with the power of speech, making promises and threats and the like, but she herself is very mentally capable of holding out on both verbal, physical and mental torture.
Weaknesses:
[x]The way her powers drain her. Anything she does takes an amount of energy from her – big or small. If she were to throw a punch, there goes some of her energy. Because the human shell she inhabits is much, much weaker than her previous form used to be, it cannot hold all her power inside, and so it releases as much as it can when she exerts herself. If she uses too much energy, her body will go into a sort of overload - and she has come close to literally exploding more than a few times. She tries to limit herself, though, and is sure to get as much rest as she can when she is not fighting or anything of the like.
[x]Her temper. She will easily let it get the better of her. If you say one thing to make her mad, she will never forgive you, and probably spend most of her time hunting you down. She does not let go of grudges easily, and these can distract her from the bigger, more important matters. The worst thing a person can do to her is insult her power, make a remark about how she isn't as powerful as she once was, and she will go off on them.
[x]Her ego. This is the only thing that will cause her to make rash decisions. She believes she is still the big, powerful Naga she once was - but she isn't, unfortunately. She learned that the hard way when she first came into this word and tried to use her powers to their full extent... That almost ended in her death. She still thinks of herself as a powerful warrior and leader, and is very pompous and has a holier-than-thou superiority complex. It can sometimes be her downfall.

The Story
History: During the time before the war between the mythical beings and the humans, Nagas were another race that resided on the Earth. There was a great clan of them, residing in places like modern day Egypt and the general Middle Eastern/African area. Anathair herself was a leader of the large clan - and when the humans began to push against the mythical world, she was eager to join into battle with the other races that had already begun to fight. She led her troops into battle with the humans spilling into her country to do her part in the war.
The battle waged on for a long time, but the humans were many, and Anathair's clan of warriors grew smaller and smaller. Just weeks before the truce with the humans was forged by the Elves, Anathair - to save herself in the hopes of coming back in many years to regain what was rightfully hers 'froze' herself in time - in a sarcophagus, where she was kept for hundreds of thousands of years… Waiting to be reborn.
Her sarcophagus was discovered in the deep forests of New Zealand, and shipped to the Museum of Natural History in New York City. There, it was opened by an innocent young scientist, who, in doing so, became the host – the shell - of the Naga Anathair. The creature had no choice as to what body she would inhabit, her spirit was forced into the first suitable thing it came across. Hollowed from the inside out, the poor girl was no longer herself, overtaken by the serpent.
Traveling to the dimension where the remainder of her army had been trapped, draining almost all her energy in doing so, she was prepared to bring them all back to the human world – and reclaim it! It had been overtaken by vermin, and she needed to exterminate them. The humans had forgotten the old ones, the mythical beings - everything that had once been was long forgotten. But, to her despair and disappointment, her army was long dead… And she had no hope of overtaking her rightful place the world without an army.
Returning to the main dimension of Earth, she retreated to somewhere she felt safe and where she could recuperate – a damp, dark place – most certainly not fit for a magnificent creature such as herself… The sewers of New York City. It was down in those sewers that she met the one called Prince Nuada – the sewers appeared to be a popular hang-out for all sorts of mythical creatures. She met him on accident, hunting for food, she stumbled upon his abode, and the two became quick allies.
While she did not join in his mission to control the Golden Army because she was confident he could do it himself – and once he and the Elves rose to power over the humans again, the old ways would be restored and she would have her lands back again – but unfortunately, that was not the case. After he had failed, she was a bit angry (and when I say ‘a bit’, I mean really angry.)
But, word spread to her that he was back in Bethmoora, attempted to start up a war yet again, and she knew now that she would have to join. She traveled to the Elven city of Bethmoora, and while that took much energy out of her human shell, she recovered within a few days, and is now a heavy supporter of Nuada – and hopes that she might bring back the race of the Nagas.
