"Holy crap!" Jellas exclaimed. "You scared the nuts out of me, Abe! I didn't know you were walking around." She watched Bella introduce herslef to Abe in her calm manner. She clapped her hands. "Wow, Bella," she said. "I thought you would surely freak out. No offense, Abe." She placed her hands on her hips. "I see you two will probably get along," she said, glancing back and forth at the books in their hands.
"So, Abe," she said. "What's up?" She paused and smiled. "How are you and Nuala doing?" Jellas was happy that Abe found someone that he was compatible with. She thought he was going to be lonely his whole life until Nuala came along.

The gills along Abraham’s neck fluttered as he took a slow even breath in, he still felt very much the proverbial fish out of water but he had been doing such a splendid job before, he figured he could get used to the feeling. The shift of colors in the woman’s eyes did not go unnoticed and Abe dipped his head down in a simple nod of understanding. Yes, he could bring about such dire emotions of surprise but his comfort was set aside to others. He looked down at the proffered hand and hesitantly drew his up to his chest, curling his fingers.
"hi, I'm Isabella Cross, Bella for short."
“Abraham Sapien,” he dipped his head again, then added as afterthought. “Abe for short.” He blinked, keeping the contacts moistened.
“…No offence Abe.”
“None taken.” He had long since grown out of feeling like Red did. They did not belong with the outside world and their recent encounter with the public had only cemented his opinion. The aquatic touched the edge of his books before curling his arm out and holding his palm towards Isabella, exposing the strange markings along his hand before gently sliding it to meet hers. As soon as they touched, the world around him slowed down to a crawl and if a deity hit the rewind button and he saw through his minds eyes the group walking towards the library, being greeted by Jellas and Derek, the stomaching dropping ride from the elevator to the ride from Washington…
“An Elemental,” he whispered, before releasing Isabella’s hand. “All four, how fascinating. I did not think it was possible.” His small mouth curled up before glancing at the others.
"How are you and Nuala doing?"
He pursed his lips in the impression of a frown and gave a contrasting shrug of his shoulders before closing the small gap between him and a table to set his books down. “The Princess and I have not spoken much. She is…” Abe turned back to the group and extended his hands, purposefully shifting the conversation. “Miss. Bella, it is a pleasure to meet you under quiet circumstances, it is unlike Director Manning to miss such an opportunist moment to extend a courteous welcoming.”
He looked down to the book in the Elemental’s hands. “Ah, Macbeth! Truly one of my favorites of Shakespeare’s tragedy.” He raised his hand slightly towards a imagined person, “Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood clean from my hand? No, this my hand will rather the multitudinous seas incarnadine, making the green one red.” Abe clapped his hands together in approval. “I got a chance to see part of Macbeth at the Tron Theater in Glasglow, that is before a poltergeist decided to commence an attack on the actress playing the Lady Macbeth.” Abraham sighed. “I never did get a chance to see all of it.”

She started in her soft, melodious voice, coming to stand in front of the girl, but at Abraham’s side, “I am Princess Nuala.” Seeing as how she was standing so close to Abraham, the Princess brushed against him slightly, and from that small touch, she knew the girls name – and her powers. And elemental, how lovely! “It is an honor to meet you, Bella.” [/ul]

Isabella Cross
Their hands touch she felt the coolness of his skin against hers. 'how did he know?...' she thought a curious look spread across her face like wild fire. "Sorry i was curious as to what your skin felt like" she said sheepishly "Macbeth..." the wold seem to slow down as Abe said the word. Being somewhat superstitious she shh'd Abe. "It's bad luck to say the name of the Scottish play!" Bella's watery blue eyes turned to the doors as they opened to reveal a beautiful woman, Bella wasn't sure of her origin her eyes followed her as she mad her graceful movements across the floor to Abe. Stunned as she introduced her self. 'a Princess?' her mind nearly screamed in delight. Bella bowed her head in return to the beautiful princes that was just standing feet from her. She noticed that when the princess touched Abe she knew everything that he knew about her. 'Telepathy...of sorts?' she thought not quite sure. Her mind so full and empty of information switched to another subject. Though knowing full well that most myth and legends were true. Abe was a living example of that. Bella looked him over he was truly remarkable, reaching out Bella gently stroked his shoulder. His skin was cold yet it calmed her. Smiling she made another friend. Taking in the vast library one more time she turned to Abe totally comfortable. "Who's this "big red?"Bella asked she was told about him by Jellas and figured that maybe Abe could shine more light on the subject. Bella was really curious.

"It's bad luck to say the name of the Scottish play!"
Abraham curled his fingers inward wiggling the single extended digit in slow circles. “Ah, very true but that is only when we be the actors on stage.” The psychic footprints of the princess spread out like a drop of water, echoing through the doorway of the library and through the very soles of the barefoot Sapien. He tipped his head up just as she entered and for a brief moment everything but Nuala faded away. Slender arms dropped to dangle at his sides as the ethereal child of the earth glided – he was sure she glided instead of walked – past the new agent and next to him.
Her sudden presence next to him made him stand up straighter and drew his hands together to fidget. “Good, good…” What time of the day was it? “Hello your highness.” Abe bowed graciously and his eyes swiveled down to look at the spot where the Princess had brushed against, marveling in the shimmering color the sleeve of her gown next his skin.
“It is an honor to meet you, Bella.”
Bella. Right. He hadn’t meant to ignore her. At her touch, Abraham hitched his shoulder and curled towards the curious hand drawing his attention away from the Princess. “Not unlike a snake? At least, that’s what everyone tells me.” He slid a palm across the arm Isabella had touched before raising it slightly and tensed the muscles along his inner bicep. “I hear stripes are the new rage this year which is quite lucky for me.” No, he told himself. He wasn’t just flexing in front of the Princess.
"Who's this "big red?"
He glanced briefly at Nuala before folding his hands at his waist. “That is a enigmatic question, I do wonder who Red really is. But, I shall save such psychological questions for a much later time. Big Red is Hellboy. Perhaps you’ve read about him in the gossip magazines? Actually…” Abe turned to glance about him. “I’m sure we had a recent one that made it to print before Director Manning could censor it. Excuse me.” The scent of Nuala’s perfume had evaded his senses, tipping him slightly into a slow lazy spin. He leaned away, his feet following the sleek moment to look upon the table he had placed his precious cargo of books before quickly returning to look up at the Princess. “Pardon me, your highness.”
He scooted away after excusing himself properly to find the magazine, resting his hand atop the smooth veneer of the desk to trace. There. He pushed aside the local paper and pulled free a magazine. The front page had already been ripped off to be proudly displayed above a bed but he turned to the specific article that had a small picture of a blurry Hellboy. Abe presented it to Bella, holding it with both hands. “This, is Red.”

That was good enough for Nuala, she was not hard to please, and she only smiled more at him, bowing her head gracefully to him. "Hello, Abraham."The Princess was quite relieved - Abraham was not mad with her for being rather distant these last few days, quite the opposite actually - she could tell, even if she didn't have telepathic powers, that he was happy to see her, ecstatic even. And she was more than happy to see him. Her golden eyes didn't leave him for what seemed like forever, but she reminded herself that there was other people in the room - and she did not want to be rude. Pulling her gaze from Abraham, she focused on the new agent, Bella, keeping her smile on her face. Nuala took in the girl's appearence - her blonde curls, her bright eyes - Nuala was always fascinated by beauty, and she saw it in everything and everyone. Like the man (fish) that stood at her side, for example. Abraham didn't have to flex his muscles to impress her - she already thought he was the most beautiful creature she could ever meet - both inside and out. As 'Big Red', or Hellboy, was brought up, Nuala's thoughts wandered. She was thankful for the large, red man - if it wasn't for him, she probably would not be here right now. He could be a bit... tough at times, but she enjoyed his company, and was ever grateful for him. Pulling herself back into reality though, she stepped to the side a bit to let Abe get past her, smiling at him as he strutted past her. When he returned to her side, now with the picture of Hellboy in hand, she watched as he passed it on to Bella. Nuala did not really understand the idea of 'pictures', how they were captured and the like, but she hoped Abraham might explain such things to her one day. [/ul]

Isabella Cross Bella took that magazine from Abe she looked over the pictures they were fuzzy and hard to make out. looking closer she smirked "he's kinda cute" she said rather loud it was suppose to be kept within her self but Bella had a bit of a big mouth. Biting her lip he looked over the picture once more then handed it back to Abe. "Now i sort of have an idea of what he looks like" she laughed. In her eyes Red was very attractive...well, the fuzzy version was extremely cute i might have been the fact that the fuzziness was blocking her eyesight or she just found him good looking.
clearing her throat she smiled. "So, whats around here for fun?" she asked bella was dying to use her powers she was so exited yet her exterior was calm and collected, though one could tell her eyes always gave her away.

Nuala entered the room almost on cue. "Hey, Princess," she said in the most respectful voice she could manage. "It's nice of you to join us." she turned her attention back to Bella when Abe showed her the most recent picture of Hellboy. He's cute? she repeated in her head, questioningly. I wouldn't say he was cute, but I wouldn't say he was ugly either. He's just your normal-looking demon-thingy. She shrugged.
"I don't know if there's anything here that's considered 'fun,'" she said with a shrug. "I think it's fun to get on Hellboy's nerves... although I know when to stop. You never want to get him too angry." She didn't know what would actually happen if she got him too angry, but she wasn't about to find out. "Other than that... I don't think there's anything else. This is the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. This place has more of a serious atmosphere." She paused. "We could go to the practice range. You're probably dying to use your powers."

Kasim grunted as he lifted the set of weights up and down. It was his fifth set today, and Kasim had felt like challenging himself, so he had perhaps added...A little too much weight. His muscles were shaking with effort and sweat beaded off of his dark, bare torso. The weight room was one of Kasim's usual visits every day to keep his strength up and expand it. Kasim lifted the set up and down a few more times before placing the bar in its holder and sitting up, exhaling. His muscles thanked him for his mercy and he rolled his shoulders back before standing. Now for a shower, and then duty called.
Kasim pulled on a BPRD tank and toweled off the majority of the sweat from his arms and face before putting the towel around his neck. He left the weight room, nodding to another suit as he entered. Kasim was one of the newest 'suits,' or regular human agents. He was proud to have gotten where he did in the ranks of the FBI and US government, but he always had a bit of a sense that he was only chosen for his lack of family. That was semi-true, but why worry about it now?
Kasim was getting ready to dart into on of the elevators when he saw a small gathering of people. Two young women, the elven princess, and the icthyo sapien. Kasim knew three of the four by sight, and realized the fourth must be new. Well, the present was as good as any for introductions. Ensuring that there was no more sweat misting his face, Kasim stepped forward just as Jellas said something about the practice range. "It can handle anything from bullets to atomic blasts, I think..." He said joining the conversation. "My name is Kasim Chionesu." He said to Isabella. He looked at the others and smiled. "I'm a 'suit' for everyone present and thought I'd come and introduce myself."

(I was under the assumption that it was ok to post in this one, if not feel free to delete^^)
"That it can, Agent Chionesu, that it can." Why was he here now instead of continuing what he normally did; researching the old files buried in the basement of this place? Well it was always customary to greet the new ones, and since he'd recieved that treatment when he came here he thought it was only right that he return the favor. Besides, it was a good idea to get to know those you would be working with, it could save your life down the line. or at least save theirs.
When he'd mentioned that he was a 'suit', Johann had thought for a moment, a 'suit'. Was he trying to make some sort of humor out of the fact that agents here could be rather expendable? That thought was a little uncomfortable, but strangely not enough to discourage anything. According to the dossiers, he was very skilled at what he did, and for a 'suit' to stand out was notable indeed considering they were all skilled.
He had decided to sneak his way over while they were talking, well...as close as it could come for a walking containment suit with a haze of ectoplasm inside of it. Just to see how they spoke with each other so far, read the body language, that sort of thing. Judging by the conversation, and the excitement in her eyes, their newcomer was lively to say the least. He could admit if they could see his face they would see surprise at her chosen attire; it wasn't the first thing he thought of when he thought 'agent'. He wondered how she would react to some of the stricter protocol she might come accross, but he supposed that was a conversation for a later moment. For now...
"Guten tag everyone, and its always a pleasure to welcome a new agent into our midst." Johann would say, with his usual tone, making sure to add another courtly bow to his introduction. "Your highness." He would add, in respectful greeting.

"I suppose it is..." She would merely respond, arms crossed in a semi-defensive gesture as she stood, tenatively moving to join the group. She could say that they wouldn't know who she was, or some wouldn't. Why would they? It wasn't as if she even tried to be friendly, she just stuck to herself, or in the library, just growing plants and finding seeds. It was her own form of psychological therapy, since the only real things of this world that she could connect to were the plants she could control. Thats how it should be...thats how it would be.
But she could at least be nice, so she would allow a light smile to grace her features as she said, "I am sorry for interrupting, but I wanted to meet the new agent, and say hello to you all." She was sure she couldn't identify with them, and they couldn't identify with her. They were only 'human' after all, they didn't have to worry about the knowledge that they were something more than what they'd known and being denied that heritage due to some human's meddling. There were only two in this area that she felt might understand her situation. The rest...She would keep that wall between them as long as she was here. At least this new girl wasn't brought here shackled, kicking and screaming...though Ivy could admit that she had relaxed a bit and wasn't treated like a prisoner...and that was endearing to her.
She wore a sort of dressy outfit, a white three quarter length blouse made of soft fabric, and a wrap skirt. Instead of being barefoot she had a pair of brown sandels. On her wrists, neck and ears were natural earthy jewelry. Her hair was tied back and she had a light silk bandana tied in a traditional fasion. But the most notable feature on the nearly 6 feet tall woman was her green skin.
"I'm Izdihar Dehar, but my common name is Ivy." She would say in introduction. Her accent sounded African, perhaps Somali.

Leaning slightly forward, Abraham curled his shoulders back, turning his elbows out after passing along the magazine allowing the thin membrane that stretched along his underarm to breath a little. The fireplace at his back was not helping, he could feel the heat creeping along the delicate fins that ran up his calves and back of his arms. He took a slow even breath, shallower then he normally did and stared dully at Isabella as he attempted to put the word ‘cute’ to brother Red. He wasn’t very successful but attempted to understand it as Liz did. Abe drew a hand to his mouth, resting the curl of his index finger to his bottom lip thoughtfully. There wasn’t a day her presence was missed.
Sapien tipped his head with each new arrival and turned his head slightly to look at the elven Princess at his side. In her willowy grace, she was just a inch or two shy of his own height making for eye contact fairly easy. Everyone’s attention seemed to drift to the new agent, as that was to be expected, and Abraham took that quick moment. “Your highness,” his voice was low, keeping their conversation private. He glanced at the floor - “May I be so bold as to ask you a question?” – before raising them to meet her golden gaze, seeking an answer. “Well, I suppose I’ve already asked a question.” He mentally paused and calmed his childish glee. “Would, you like to join me for dinner tonight? I have several wonderful books I’d like to show you and the dinning hall is a bit too loud to talk.” Was he talking fast? It seemed like he was rushing. “I understand if you’d like to retire to your room instead.”

She replied after he had finished, taking the smallest of steps closer to him, "I do agree that the dining hall is a bit too loud at times - and I have been wanting to spend time with you - I feel a bit... guilty about being rather distant as of late," Her gaze drifted downward for a moment, and her smile faded ever so slightly. "I suppose dinner tonight might make up for lost time?" Her cheery demeanor returned almost instantly when the smile returned to her face, and her gaze traveled up to meet Abraham's once more. Isabella Cross Bella sure was popular, smiling she answered. "Hi y'all" Her Okie accent could be heard in only select words that Bella uses. Of course Bella has no idea what she sounds like. Raising her hand in a welcoming greeting she smiled. 'so there are more people here' thinking, she smiled to her self. The water in Abe's tank began to bubble again. Noticing hopefully before anyone else did, Bella calmed down. Sighing she looked at the book in her hands she was gripping it so tight it made teh flesh on her knuckles turn white. Switching her book to the other hand, she let her fingers trace over the gold lettering. With so many people Bella was beginning to become rather quiet. Smiling to Jellas and Abe Bella also smiled to Ivy and Kasim.

Kasim smiled at the arrival of Johann as well and found that an almost awkward silence was beginning to descend on the group. The practice range was beginning to sound like a good place to be. "I think....I'll be heading to the practice range if anyone wants to join."[ He nodded to Bella. "Nice to meet you. If you need anything that I can help with, I'm sure you'll be able to find me. I'm always somewhere nearby." Maybe it was the fact that Kasim was becoming slowly accustomed to babysitting certain agents plus the not-so-warm greeting the Francesca Guidicini gave him when he arrived that Kasim decided to always offer help to new agents. "Anyhow...if anyone wants to come," He repeated, "I'll be at the practice range. Abe, Your Highness, Ivy, Jellas, Johann, Derek, Bella." Was that it? Yes, it was. Quite a few people. He nodded before heading for the corridor that would lead to the practice room.
((Heading to: Practice Makes Perfect: Practice Range.))
