((OOC: Doh, I said Mexico, but I meant the other mission Angel is on XD))
The heavy veil shifted thickly around the nun’s shoulders as she nodded once in a reply. It was a joyous feeling to be back at the Bureau and in one piece, that was always an added bonus. “But I have yet to complete a hard day’s work to warrant a sigh.” Angel shifted her glass to one hand and looked down at the creased palm and experimentally flexed her fingers eliciting a dull ache that had settled in her joints. She had helped earlier that morning move weights with a couple of fellow agents who were in need of a little extra muscle.
"Kids are kids."… "See what I mean? Kids."
Angeleanna smiled widely, revealing a sliver of ivory teeth. She took a sip of her apple cider and help it a moment as the bubbles popped before swallowing. “I’ve never had the pleasure of hiding in a foxhole, though I do remember this one cemetery in Kentucky, had a lot of sink holes and I was unfortunate enough to step in one. It was shallow enough to get out of but the resident spirits made certain it would be a chore.” The sister sighed again, leaning more towards the disheartened. “They were really quite lonely.”
“But isn’t that how we grow into the adults we are today? A life is built from mistakes and faults. It’s easier to see now that we’ve run the path, but so hard when you’re young. The youth of today is much different from when you or I were no more then knee high.” The nun finished her cider and shifted slightly to find a place to put it without leaving a mark of the neighboring furniture and settled into holding it between her hands. “Even I must have been a radical sight as a child. I believe my generation was into the rock and roll and groovy things.” Amused at her own self, Angel laughed quietly.
“It’s good to see you and your team came away unscathed. Though I don’t believe I saw Miss Evadne here yet.”
"Are you planning on leaving the Bureau for a few days over holiday? Or, rather, do you have anything exciting planned?"
“Mmm, Mother Superior has talked briefly about my return to the church next year. It would only be for a couple of weeks but I am not one hundred percent certain on that matter. I have yet to bring it Director Manning’s attention.” Angeleanna reached up and with one finger and ran it against the length of her jaw where the white cowl came across. “But!” She slapped the hand down on her knee, the sound muffled by her habit. “Let’s not dwell on that.”
“How about you? Or are agents not allowed to leave for personal time?”
