Nothing, nothing, and more nothing. Investigating really wasn't Terry's "thing". He leaned up against a tree and tried to pick up something using his other two senses, smell and hearing. The entire damn forest still smells like Lycan..., and Frankie and Evadne were making a hell of a racket checking the boat and bushes.
>>>"Alright. Let's see what we can find."<<<
Well, he couldn't find anything. Wait. Terry's nostrils twitched, there was a really odd smell about the place, so faint that he didn't notice it at first. Smelled like, well, the closest thing to it would be some sort of reptile, but no reptile left this strong of a scent behind.
"I think we've got a big reptile, I can smell it. Now, I don't know that much about giant reptiles, but can they live in water? Because the boat could've washed up here after being attacked while it was out there." Terry jerked his thumb back in the direction of the lake.

Evadne stopped what she was doing and jerked her attention toward the water. Giant reptiles?! Now she was all for going out on missions and such, but this one so far? It was anything but what their mission statement had said! First a Lycan and now a giant reptile! What was going to be next? Little green men from outer space? After their night so far, it actually wouldn't have surprised her if those popped up next.
"Too bad Abe's not here..." Evadne muttered softly wishing that the fishman had been part of the team. She crossed her arms and dragged her gaze over to the shredded boar and sighed. "Well it is possible that it could have washed up on shore," she admitted and pointed toward the broken planks. "The way it's scattered does suggest that. The only thing now is... Well Frankie, what are we going to do now? I don't think they packed up any sort of diving gear."

Frankie was noticing, as they walked, that Terry's wound was bleeding. In fact, it was bleeding pretty bad. By the time they got to the boat, even though Terry had kept soldiering on, he did need to lean against s tree for a moment, as if to support himself. Frankie's bow furrowed. "Terry, let me see your shoulder." She looked and saw that the wound hadn't stopped bleeding at all. Great, just great.
"Terry, I don't like the look of that shoulder. You're going back to the base camp, and maybe the Bureau." Her tone was firm and she radioed the agents who had gone and secured the Lycan. "Fuzzy's hurt guys. I need someone to come and escort him back to the base camp." The last Evadne, Theeson, and Frankie would see of Terry that mission was him and a suit backtracking the way they came.
"I'm at a loss." Frankie replied to Evadne. "I don't like the idea of having to wait to do this another, or maybe tomorrow morning." She paused for a second to collect her thoughts and maybe make out another plan, hopefully one that would be as terrible as all the other developments so far. She was about to speak when she heard what sounded like leather being folded together, or flapped a few times, in the woods on the other side of the river bank.
"...It looks like we won't have until tomorrow any how."

Evadne's gaze immediately shot to the bush's, her brows furrowed and her eyes narrowed. She stood perfectly still though, listening to the creature moving through the tall grass. It's skin rustled as it's body wove through the dry foliage. Automatically she took a step backward, slowly lifting a finger to her lips - indicating to both Frankie and Theeson to remain quiet. Last thing they needed was to make anything easier for the creature in question.
Hearing a twig snap behind her, Evadne spun around read to give Theeson a dirty glare. Much to her surprise, it hadn't been Theeson who had stepped on the twig. Right behind the petite brunette stood, well rather crouched a thing...Or creature completely covered in dusty fur. Evadne wasn't quite sure what it was exactly. It looked like a cross between a human and some other primitive creature. But it was quite obvious that it was wild as it crouched there, it's nose lifted up sniffing the air around it.
Evadne motioned for Theeson to remain still but even as she was doing that the creature sprang forward. Without thinking, Evande reached over pushing Frankie to side before leaping toward Theeson intent on pushing the girl out of the way also.
Surprisingly though, the dusty creature leapt over the women right into the bush where the other creature was. Turning her head, Evadne pushed to her feet and shook her head. She couldn't see what was going on but boy could she hear it. Snarling, grunts, angry hisses... What the hell had they stumbled upon?!
Brushing her knees off, Evadne glanced over at Frankie. "So do we just let them kill each other?"

Frankie stumbled slightly at Evadne's push, but she was grateful for it -- If Evadne had not pushed her out of the way, she surely would have been clipped by one of the hind legs of the creature that had just leaped over them. Unlike the vampire, Frankie was able to keep her footing, and she watched the two animals engage in battle.
One was another lycan, that was for certain, and the other -- Well, it was none other than the Jersey Devil. It had a long neck, upon which was a fat horse-like head. It's body resembled that of a large greyhound's except two leathery wings extended from its back. The arms were similar to a t-rex's: Small and hardly useful. The creature stood on two hoofed feet, but now it was stumbling around, flailing its useless arms.
"You get the Devil, I'll grab the lycan!" Frankie said. She leaped onto the huge wolfish creature, which was no easy task since the two supernatural beings were rolling around on the ground. It was then that Frankie finally found a good use for her headlamp -- The lycan turned around to close its jaws upon her throat, and Frankie promptly head-butted it/ The light sparked and burnt out as it was crushed between Frankie's and the lycan's skull. If it weren't for Frankie immensely dense skeletal system, her skull by have caved in from the action. Instead, the headlamp bash knocked the lycan unconscious, and it collapsed limply on top of Frankie.
"Bloody sodding hell!" She murmured, and using both legs, rolled the huge creature off of her. She quickly got to her feet to see if Evadne needed help taking care of the Devil.

Evadne pushed herself to her feet, watching the 'Jersey Devil' lift it's nose in the air and smell. It stood there for a moment before it lowered it's nose and snuffled around the ground for a few minutes and then it turned and locked it's eyes on her. Evadne's brow arched and began reaching for her gun, though the movement caused the creature to emmit a growl low in it's throat.
Freezing, as she didn't want to startle the creature anymore than it already was, Evadne just continued to stare at it. The creature danced a little to the side, it's eyes never straying from the vampire's form. "Well, go on then," Evadne finally said making a slight shooing motion with her hand. "Go on! Get!"
The creature sniffed once more in her direction and almost as if it had understood her, disappeared into the surrounding line of trees. Shaking her head, Evadne turned and looked at Frankie and then down at the lycan. "Well, I suppose that didn't go to bad... But what do you want to do with that?" she asked pointing down at the lycan.

Frankie pulled the mangled remains of the headlamp from her skull and rubbed her forehead, which had taken the blunt force of head-butt. She placed the hand holding the headlamp on her hip as she pondered Evadne's question. Frankie was a bit astonished that the Jersey Devil was simply able to be shooed off. "I think that lycans -- since this is the second one we've ran into," Frankie kicked the body with her foot, "Are the ones causing the trouble with the Devil." Frankie rested a finger on her lips before turning to Evadne. "There hadn't really been disturbances or destruction of this magnitude before according to the case file."
"Do you have a tracking pin?" Frankie crouched down and inspected the lycan. "We could tag this one and he could lead us to the lycan den. We could tranquilize them and relocate them somewhere else. What do you think?"

"I would say that's a safe assumption," Evadne agreed looking down at the Lycan with narrowed eyes. It was no great secret that vampires and lycans didn't normally see eye to eye, but Evadne for the most part felt nothing for the creatures. This time though, it seemed as though this Lycan had let it's animalistic urges get the best of him and well... Look what had happened.
"I think I might," she murmured before she began rummaging through the pouches in her belt. After a few minutes of searching, she pulled a tracking pin out and tossed it to Frankie. "Go ahead, you're the one it attacked the most." She was sort of smirking, not being mean kind of smirk, but knowing that shoving a tracking pin in the creature's ear would do little to alleviate any annoyance or aggression felt toward it.

"Oh how gracious of you." Frankie said, her tone not sarcastic, but possibly bordering on joking, Possibly.Frankie cracked the tracking pin to activate it before grabbing the lycan by the scruff of the neck, pulling the head upwards, and burying the tracking pin deep into the lycan's ear. As she dropped the lycan's head, she gave it one more good kick. "Overgrown fleabag."
Frankie radioed back at the base and confirmed that the tracking pin was indeed showing up on the computers. She turned to Evadne. "Alright. Let's go and wait for it to wake up."
