Hi. I'm Dave.

I guess I evidently found this site almost a year ago, posted an app, and vamoosed although I have no recollection of any of that. However, I don't take responsibility for my actions after 2am, so I'm chalking it up to that. A couple days ago, I decided I needed a new RP, and after two days of failing to find a good Dr. Who site, I decided to look for other cool stuff. I googled "BPRD Forum RPG" and the first result led me here. Oddly enough, I already had this place bookmarked (which led me to a long overdue cleanse of my bookmarks).

Anywho, I've roleplayed for years (since I was 12 and started playing Vampire: The Masquerade), mostly on the DM/GM side of the table. In my last year of high school, I discovered play by post and got hooked kinda badly. I mostly played on composite mega forums where there were usually 15 D&D games going on at once until a Firefly game led me to a Firefly board where I've happily played for over three years and been on staff for most of that time.

Now, as much as I love Firefly, I need other outlets. I've played on several Heroes boards (even helped run two until their dramariffic demises), True Blood, Buffy, random other places, and even a Sailor Moon site. None of them did it, because the boards were either dramatastic or died.

Now, I got into Hellboy after the first movie (yeah, I'm lame) and a guy on the Firefly site I play on started a BPRD RPG. It was awesome. It died due to lack of interest, but that little taste made me realize that I really jived with the Hellboy world. I haven't had time to delve into the comics yet, but they're on my list right after I finish The Walking Dead, Chew, and The Boys.

So...

In real life, I just graduated college with a Bachelor's degree in English, and am trying to get into grad school for creative writing with the hopes of eventually teaching college level creative writing and being a famous author. Neither look promising at the moment. My favorite fandoms are Firefly, Dr. Who/Torchwood, and Buffy/Angel.

Welcome back man, kinda funny how that happens. I did D&D back in the day too, my brother's trying to get me to join in on his games but alas, I haven't quite found my way over there yet.

If you're in need of some good Dr. Who games, I know of a ton over at RPG Directory and they seem to do quite well over there. There's one called Timey Wimey (Though I think it's full name is Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey) that's been around for a quite a while and generates a good deal of interest. I've always been a fan of the Fourth Doctor and I think the majority take place in the tenth timeline or the eleventh before he was named.

If you type in Hellboy RPG into google too, we're like the 4th link down and I think an old image banner is still floating around in google image. The perks of being around for a long time.

Love Firefly, actually got into the series waaay too late but I have my movie and dvds, so I'm good. Even tried to RP it a couple of times but every game seemed to peter out in the first month or two so I finally called it quits.

Hey! Nothing wrong with the movies gaining fans. But I will tell you, you will not be dissapointed with Mike Mignola's work. If you ever get a chance, track down the Odd Jobs trio books. They're some fantastic stories from some great writers.

Heh, Wibbley Wobbley Timey Wimey stuff and others may be active, but they're not new person friendly. I PMed the admin on one of them two weeks ago and he still has yet to even log on, much less PM me back.

And I'm a fan of Donna Noble. If they made a show of her, I'd probably be its only fan, but I'd be a rabid one.
