Appearance: His skin is mildly pale. His dark brown hair is short, but his bangs are long enough to cover his eyes. He has the emo look down! His eyes are a pale, icy blue. He has a snakebite piercing. His figure is slimmer than most guys, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t strong. He looks younger than he actually is.

It's The Inside That Counts

Personality: When you first meet him he’s shy, but once you get to know him he’s very intergetic. He’s brave expect for when it comes to really big monsters. Then he’ll try to run as fast as he can away from it. He’s a very kind person and can keep himself under control. It isn’t easy to make him angry. He is a little emo at times, hence his codename, but rarely. He only gets that way if he fails a mission or someone he knows gets killed.

He grew up just like any other kid. He was quiet though and teased by many of the students in his school. He eventually made some friends and moved up through school like any other guy. He entered high school and noticed a girl two grades above him named Jellas Fermout. He didn’t know her well, but he knew her. He heard that she was cornered in an alley, but then incased her attacker in ice! Most people insulted her, saying she was a freak. But Derek didn’t. He thought it was cool.
When he got out of school he received a letter in the mail inviting him to the B.P.R.D. He gladly and eagerly accepted. Before he knew it he was off to New Jersey! There he ran into Jellas. He recognized her, but she had no idea who he was. They got to know eachother and are now good friends.

Derek faced the ground as he walked through the halls of the B.P.R.D. He’d learned to dodge all the strange things in the hall subconsciously. He looked momentarily at an angered creature in the middle of the hall. "Friday," he muttered to himself. Friday’s were so busy around the B.P.R.D. He looked back down at the ground and kept walking. All of a sudden he ran into someone.
"Watch it!" Jellas said rudely. She realized it was him and apologized. "Oh, sorry Emo. Didn’t know it was you."
"It’s fine," he said. "Not everyone can be polite on a Friday." They both looked back at the angry creature as it threw a man to the other side of the hall. They both flinched. "I feel really sorry for the guys who have to deal with him," Derek said. He wondered how many bones they’d broken with that job.
"Better them than us," Jellas said.
Derek glared at Jellas. "That’s spineless," he said.
