She sat in the library against one of the tables, a few books piled on one end and a small pot of soil on the other. She sat with her back straight, her eyes intent on her reading and hand hovering over the soil. She had planted two seeds of different plants...and now she was reading up on their qualities before deciding to splice them naturally together, to see what could develope.
Despite her soft beauty there was a harsh anger behind that, it could be seen in her dark and stormy eyes, it could be seen in the way she pulled her lips taught and let her nail slightly dig into the page she read...every moment she was here she was reminded of the world she was denied...reminded of the fact that in a way she was a prisoner...plants being the only thing she could connect to...it was a bad feeling...could she ever learn to trust the people here?
She would tighten the muscles in her hand, and soon the soil would churn...and quietly a hint of green would slowly grow from it, before formulating into a beautiful exotic plant, with berries on the branches and lighter leaves...a combination of two...beautiful...she would finally smile, her body relaxing and her lips pulling into a soft, loving grin, one of a nurturer.

" this book makes no sense " The angelic teen said with a sigh, standing in the back of the library, book and hand. It was written in some sort of dead language, and to be hones, Pierce couldn't tell if he was reading it upside down, or right side up. He spun the book in all directions, trying to make out some sort of key, or some kind of sign that told him which way he should read it. But, there was no luck for him. With a distressed sigh that you would probably hear from a dog who ate all of his new toy, Pierce placed the book back where it came from, and went on to search for something else.
His fingers gently scanned a couple of book spines, before finally landing on a very large book. ' Birds of Flight ' How ironic. With a shrug, he slid the book out from the shelf, and sat down where he stood, legs crossed, book wide open in his hands.
Today, Pierce had decided to take it a little easier than usual. He had pulled a shoulder falling on his ass during a flight practice the day before, and was currently avoiding having to go back up for a while. So, he simply chose to take cover in the library for a while. He rapidly flipped through the large book, examining the anatomy pictures of the wings whenever there were some. There was a slight smile on the boy's face as he looked over a family of birds in the book. One last look, before turning the page
