THE HANDLER
NAME: Fae Thomas
NICKNAME: Fae
CLASSIFICATION: Half-elven
GENDER: Female
AGE & BIRTHDAY: Ageless; her birthday is December 20th, but she's forgotten the year
APPEARANCE: Fae stands at a good height of 5'10", with a thin and slender build; she weighs in at around 115 lbs, her body given very slight curves, just enough to distinguish her as a woman in a more form fitting outfit. Her skin is the color of fresh cream, smooth and unblemished for the most part save for a small birthmark on the small of her back, tinting her skin a pallid sort of peach color. Her eyes are the color of dull bronze, with lighter flecks of gold and green, a ring of gray about her pupil; they are heavily lashed and almond shaped, normally ringed with a fair brown eyeliner and eyeshadows that bring out the color more sharply.
Fae's hair is long, down to the small of her back, with soft waves and curls that bounce and sway with the movement of her body. It is similar to the color of sunbleached straw, with subtle streaks of pale brown and a darker yellow, outlining her hair with contours and soft changes in value. Her eyelashes are naturally light, but she normally remedies this with dark mascaras to make them seem a bit more natural, though her eyebrows are still a pale brown.
ATTIRE: Fae feels the most comfortable in loose, billowy shirts, thin or light fabrics, and jeans or shorts of any kind. On your average day to day, she can be seen wearing dark, longsleeved and rather large shirts with silvery, bangled jewelry, her hair set either down, pushed back by a headband, or tied back in a loose ponytail. She continues to wear a necklace given to her by her mother, a locket with writing that she cannot translate. Most of her jeans are ripped at one knee or two, but this doesn't seem to bother her. The most shoes she owns are normally either sneakers or sandals, but she has the special pump or two for the right occasion. Her favorite colors to wear are dark greens, browns and blacks.

THE CREATION
NAME: None
POWER LIST:
Some telepathy
Other powers, if any, have been unexplored
DETAILED POWER:
Telepathy - Although she is not fully aware of this power, from time to time she can hear the whispers of the people about her. Fae tends to avoid large crowds because of this, given that hearing so many thoughts at once makes her extremely uneasy and dizzy. She has found that, with concentration, she can focus on a single person's thoughts for a short period of time, at most fifteen minutes. Though, as she's had no need for this, she doesn't make too much use of it.
THE POTENTIAL
ALIGNMENT/OCCUPATION: Unaffiliated
WEAPONS: None
PERSONALITY: Fae is a very soft spoken person, typically the wallflower that stands off to the side of the room and carefully observes before making any sort of decision of interaction or not. This sort of personality had grown over time, especially upon realizing that she did not age as normal humans did; it kept her from making any sort of especially close ties, the only true one being that of her human mother. When she died, Fae considered herself very much alone in the world, and does not seem to have any outward qualms about the situation.
Despite her loner nature, Fae is actually a very kind, caring individual. She is not the type to ignore someone that is hurt or in danger, and especially not one to allow others to hurt unnecessarily. Although this trait is moderately strong with other people, it is most directed toward animals or other sorts of nature. Because of this strange, strong bond she feels towards nature, Fae is vegan, even if eating plants makes her feel somewhat guilty as well, she does need to eat after all. She doesn't understand this bond too well, and chooses to attribute it to her mother's love of nature that rubbed off on her.
She prefers reading to much anything else, reflecting and other sorts of inwardly based activities. Currently, she has grown bored with her life. Each year she sees new things, and each year she grows accustomed to them. She is set in a sort of mundane, permanent schedule that she only alleviates upon researching more to find out about herself, what she is and where she came from, though she's finding that research materials are rather...scarce.
SKILLS: Skills that Fae has acquired over the years include the normal; swimming, sewing, cooking, baking, basically the norm that her mother instructed her upon years ago. She has a college education, with a bachelor's degree in business and literature. Her livelihood is the quaint bookstore that she owns and works at just a few blocks down from her apartment, ranging in literature from children's books to Latin, and other advanced readings; from the very, very old to the very, very new, she makes it a point to obtain for sale. At a few years prior, she enrolled herself in a martial arts program and is currently still attending. She is one of the top of her class, and training to obtain her black belt. Over years of moving from area to area, Fae has also learned several languages, at least enough to get by. These include several Nordic languages, Italian, French, Spanish, Latin and English. She is the most proficient in English and Norwegian, as she's lived with them the longest, in her early life and current life, and knows a good enough of the others to live peacefully in an area with mostly those languages.
STRENGTHS: Fae tends to work best alone, researching and training herself in the privacy of her own home. Her strength lies within herself, her ambition and drive to learn more about what exactly she is, to find closure in some form so as she can live peacefully with herself and sink back into anonymity. She is also a very patient woman, realizing that she more than likely has all the time in the world to wait, though her patience is very, very slowly beginning to wear thin, especially in terms of discovering there is truly nothing new to be discovered. In protecting something precious to her, her personality takes on quite a new turn, finding that she is very fierce and obstinate; she will not allow herself to fail, even if she should be hurt in the process.
WEAKNESSES: As her obstinacy is a strength, it is very much a double edged sword. Sometimes, it will seem like she has a one track mind, and will do what she can to reach her goal, besides risk the life of another. Her loyalty, combined with a sort of naive sense of trust to those she feels are kind to her, is also a dangerous tool to those who would wish to use her, as well as her caring nature. She is not normally easily tricked, but her heartstrings can be tugged and manipulated like a puppet, if handled by the right puppeteer. Her unwillingness to work with others is another downside; she becomes very anxious in groups, and her attention span dwindles because of it.
THE STORY
HISTORY: At the beginning of the war with Man, one Elven warrior was injured severely and left for dead on the battlefield. As night fell, Bjorn Awair found that he was slipping in and out of consciousness several times. A few of those times, he began to imagine he saw a beautiful woman, that he was being moved, and finally that he was laying on something soft and warm. He awoke finally to find himself in a small home on the edges of the forests, and unfortunately for him, in the home of a human female. He resisted at first; what sort of traitor would allow himself to be in the care of a human? He wouldn't speak to her, and least of all would allow her to touch him. Eventually though, as weeks wore by and he was bothered by his own wounds, he allowed this woman close enough to simply treat his injuries; he needed to return and fight alongside his fellow warriors.
As more time passed, he learned the woman's name was Selki, of how she lived away from her fellow Man and chose to stay with nature, to be in peace with it. She, in turn, learned of the war from Bjorn, and how her own kind was attacking nature itself. She expressed detest for it, and even cried for him and his people, their kingdom and everything about it. The two slowly began to share the wish that, if they couldn't rid each other of the other side, that they discussed maybe hoping for a day that their people could share nature, and learn from the other. They knew this was impossible, but they began to think of whatever they could as feelings between the two grew.
They shared many things for a few months, and were happy despite many differences. However, all good things needed to come to an end, and Bjorn knew he was only prolonging the inevitable. He was fully healed, and he promised to come back...for the both of them, as one hand held hers, and the other hovered over her stomach. He left her and their unborn child, heading headfirst ultimately to his death. Selki knew he wouldn't return, and thanked the Gods for that short time they had together, but mostly for the child that was soon born to her. A beautiful young daughter that she named for his memory and for his people: Fae.
The years passed, and Fae grew alongside her mother. Though to her the years moved too slowly, they moved all too fast for her beloved mother. Though she only appeared to be an adolescent, Fae noticed how her mother was so much older, so much weaker, but her heart was so much stronger. She regaled the child with stories of her father, stories of the war between Man and nature, and eventually how nature had to succumb to Man. Eventually, on Selki's deathbed, she told the girl of her father, her heritage, and how she must learn to live as an envoy between two worlds. Holding her hand tightly with her dying breath, she gave her the necklace that Bjorn had given her all those years ago, a testament to their love and the peace they made with each other. Fae buried her mother and made her way into the human world, to try and live life disguised as a normal human.
She made her way across many countries; she would move from place to place very frequently, as she was not able to stay in one place too long. People would begin to question why she still looked so young. She became learned in several languages, as she needed to, and expanded her education as she needed to, to live normally amongst her 'peers', and not stir up any unwanted suspicion.
She eventually found herself in the United States, in New Jersey of all places, and found that living in such a country allowed her the kind of anonymity she needed to live in a single place without attracting too much attention. With so many different people, of so many different creeds, it was easy to hide amongst them, and to stay very much unknown as the years passed by. She stayed long enough to create a stable source of income, in the form of her own bookstore, and to buy her own apartment; she's trying not to stay too comfortable, however. If the need be, she will move again. Nowadays, she spends her time working, or pouring over books about her Elven heritage. Unfortunately, and this she noticed, all these books were written by Man, and therefore biased by Man. Frustrated and without a feeling of purpose, she ties herself up in her work and her own life, interacting with no one. She has changed her surname several times, and is currently residing on 'Thomas'.
