Timeframe: Afternoon
Date: May 15th
Place: BPRD Library
Status: Open to Bureau Agents and any Unaffiliates that are acquainted with Liz or any present Bureau Agents (Foster, I'm looking at you)
Paper pacifiers had been taped all over Abe's tank. Streamers hung from the bannisters leading up to the second level and the light fixtures. Tables had been brought in and strewn with pastel plastic table cloths. Tabby Whitman, wearing jeans and an old t-shirt that said "I Got My Geek On: Comic Con 2003" was using her trusty staple gun and and stapling some paper mache storks from the ceiling. Bedazzled pacifier earrings that would put Edward Cullen to shame hung from her ears, and her red hair was gathered back in a sloppy ponytail. As she secured the last stork, she looked at the staple gun and giggled at memories of the Christmas party, and everyone forcing her to remove the batteries from her camera before agreeing to go in on a drinking game. Well... No alcohol was being served today and she couldn't staple mistletoe up everywhere (stupid seasonal rules and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome), so she had her orange camera at the ready to catch every single moment of sappy, "Oh my gosh, gonna be a parent!" celebrations.
Tabby climbed down from stapling the storks just as two of the kitchen staff wheeled in serving carts that were over-flowing with food. "Let me help you unload that Glenda! This smells great Carrie!" Tabby said, crossing to the carts. She and the other two women unloaded a bowl full of mini-Baby Ruths (for Hellboy and puns), deviled eggs, pasta salads, paninis, chips, vegetables, dips, and cookies. There was lemonade, various sodas, and regular whole and chocolate milk. Tabby fanned out the napkins and stacked the cups as the kitchen staff turned to leave. "Thank you guys! I'll post pictures of it on the Bureau's blog!"
Last but not least, there was the presents table to set up. Tabby pulled her gift bag from underneath one of the tables and checked to make sure the two onesies and little pacifiers were inside. One onesie said, "Come closer, my symbiote is ready to take a host," and the other read, "Future Ninja." She had found this awesome website with tons of onesies like them and was kind of bummed that she could only really order two. She needed a baby that she could dress up in awesome onesies... She fluffed the tissue paper and set the bag upon the gift table before surveying her handiwork. Items for games were on another table, the food was here... All was missing was some more people and the couple that happened to be gestating with two fetuses.
