Welcome to Clayton's Whirling Well of Angst! It is a very sad place. Well! Clayton is a freelance scavenger, so there's that. He often works (grudgingly) with/for the Bureau to collect salvage and whatnot from no-man's-land. As much as he prefers to live alone in the wastes, there are some things you just can't get out there. So he trades his services for necessities. Perhaps the Bureau could hire him on as a guide/guardian for people who need items from no-man's-land? As long as the group is three or less, he won't stab anyone! Isn't that just swell! I imagine all the populated areas are pretty much scavenged out by now, so yeah! He's also in Denver once in a while to see his brother, as different as they are. It's one of the few things that keeps him sane! Hooray sanity! An overarching story I want to work on with Clayton is one of loss (already covered, the guy has been through hell) and redemption (so I can stop crying). Romances are a total no-go for Clayton. If someone is crazy enough to pursue a romance with a borderline psycopath who has lost everything (IT COULD BE FUN THOUGH, bUT DANGEROUS, AND STABBY), uhh, go for it. But he has a lot of things to hit people with, so duck.

I imagine this might be an interesting person for Deadhead to meet. Considering that stabby-stabs don't really effect John so much, he might be a likely candidate to go out scavenging or item hunting with Clayton. What a combo that'd be!
