If you have a question, feel free to ask it! ◊ What is Descendants of War? DoW is a movieverse Hellboy RPG set 22 years after the second movie. We’ve fudged the ending a bit and taken it into a whole new direction. ◊ How much of the Hellboy canon is covered? We are mainly based in the movieverse, but some canon characters do take some background and influences from the comics and cartoons. ◊ How many characters can I play? As of now we have no set limit on characters. You are free to play as many as you like, but please don’t overload yourself. We all know the shine of new characters can be tempting. ◊ Can I make up my own faction? Big factions like BPRD and the Silverlance Court are not allowed at this time, but if you’d like to create a small group of a few people such as a gang, that’s perfectly acceptable. ◊ Do I have to play a canon character? Not at all. DoW runs on original characters. ◊ Can I play a madeup race? No, sorry. There are hundreds of fantasy and supernatural races and things to pick from. ◊ What kind of writing level does DoW have? We are a free form intermediate game with all forms and sorts of writing. We have no post count but we do have a set standard. Just a quick read through posts on the board will tell you what we're looking for. ◊ Can I play a Character from a movie/game/book? Only Hellboy canon allowed. We allow movie, comic and cartoon. Staff is fluent in all. ◊ What kind of tech is allowed? This is a little tricky, as it ranges from the bare basics to having internet and A/C. Basically what we have today, depending on where your character currently resides. Radios, cars, refrigerators, weapons, it’s all the same. ◊ Are you looking for new staff? Not at this time. When and if the staff are looking to increase their numbers, please do not ask. We will search you out if we’re interested. ◊ Can I advertise my game? Yes, we have a section specifically for that. You don’t need to sign up either to advertise, it’s open to guests. |
