In case you missed the subject title. This is a SPOILER thread for those that have seen Hellboy 2 and want to discuss it or just plain want to babble like a happy fan. ****SPOILER****SPOILER****SPOILER**** Okay, I think that's plenty of warning. If you're reading this and haven't seen the movie, you're the only one to blame for spoiling yourself. My first reaction was OMG! That opening scene was a killer, little Red was too cute and his chipped horn made me think of a rambunctious kid who wasn't watching where he was going. Much like a skinned knee. His crooked teeth and big ears made him all the more childlike of a boy growing into his body. And then when Abe reached a hand out in the tooth faerie scene to protect Liz and went "Oh my god, Liz?!?! You're pregnant!" I laughed way too hard and giggled. I'm a sappy fan but proud to be one. There were several favorite scenes but the most touching one was when Liz was in reverse positions and trying to revive Hellboy and said he was going to be a father, his words were "I'm going to be...father?" I teared up. It wasn't a father, it was Father. I think the most hilarious scene was when Red and Blue bonded over beer (did the cans say teacate?) and Barry Manilow's Can't Smile without you and stumbled around drunk to look and talk over a sleeping Liz. The only thing I was iffy about was the actual pregnancy, it moved rather fast from the first movie to the second but as it progressed, I grew to love the idea of two! "Babies." "Babies?" "Two." Priceless reaction on HB's part. Poor Abe, he can't seen to catch a break, the big ape get's a girl why can't the fishman? Krauss was insanely perfect and Manning, I love Jeffery Tambor and his Manning was so full of awesome. Okay, I'll stop for now. So, have you seen the Golden Army yet?

WOOT! I just got back from the theater! I loved it!
I feel really sorry for, Abe! *tear falls down cheek* The one girl that he loved just had to die! I wish I could hug him, poor thing! It was so sad! When I saw the blood seep through the prince-dude's shirt I was like, "No! She didn't!" But she did! *sobs hysterically* I need a moment!
- A moment later -
*daps eyes with a tissue* Sorry 'bout that. Anyway... OMG! I loved the scene where Hellboy and Abe got drunk! They're good singers! LOL Abe talks really funny when he's drunk! It almost sounded like he was congested! LOL Liz had great timing when she woke up! I don't think Hellboy would've liked to get the news from Abe. After that scene I got that song stuck in my head! *starts singing it badly* That song will forever be engraved in my memory!
My first impression of Kraus was just like Hellboy's. "Isn't that German? I don't like Germans." I actually don't care if you're German, but whatever! What I mean is that I didn't like him at first. He talked all about "Doing you're duty." BLEH! I wanted so badly to hury him! And then he got cool! He got all caring and kicka$$! It was awesome how he took control of that one Golden Army soldier!
I loved it when Liz said there were two. With the added finger wiggling it was really hilarious! I wonder what their children would be like. *stares into space in thought*

Yeah. I feel sorry for the prince too. He just wanted to bring honor to the creatures like him. I don't blame him either! I would be pissed too if my people were forced to live in sewers and stuff! It would make me feel like I was pathetic! But I wouldn't be so mad that I would sick the Golden Army on everyone! I still feel Prince Nuada's pain though. *kisses fingers and holds out peace sign*

That was sad, when he looked at his sister I couldn't tell what kind of look he gave her. Was it one of betrayal? Or perhaps sadness that she would kill herself. Did Abe cry over Nuala? Someone said they saw a tear but I think I missed it, I was looking at the Princess and their hands.
I heard that at the end of the credits there was an extra scene but I missed it since my group I was with were bossy and wanted to leave. I'm actually going to see this movie again, maybe Monday if I can wait that long. So I'll get to catch all the stuff I missed the first time around.

I'm going to see it with again on Wednesday with my friend and boyfriend. We promised that we'd see it together. I said I was glad to go see it again. Especially since Abe just just there was an extra scene. Gah! I knew there was going to be something at the end of the credits! There was something at the end of the first movie! So why wouldn't there be something at the end of the second movie? Gah! I'm so stupid! Okay...I'm done ranting.
I didn't see a tear in Abe's eye...and I looked really closely to see if he would. Trust me, there wasn't a tear. I think Nuada was looking at Nuala with betrayal and sadness! Who wouldn't be sad that their sister killed themself? And he probably counted on his sister to support him, but then she betrayed him. So sad. *hugs Prince Nuada (lol)*

Lol you all missed the funniest part of the movie! When Krauss possessed the lockers and whooped Hellboy's butt! That was superb, stupid Hellboy thinking he can be the almighty Johann or whatever his first name is x].
Also the Prince was an absolute savage. When he went and took down those swordsman that look awfully familiar to the monsters on Silent Hill. How he slid on his knees and just brought the swords straight through them. That is what I called badass.

These are just a couple of random thoughts that crossed my mind. When Abe puts on the spectacles that can see through glamor and lays eyes on the "real" Hellboy, I realized he never got a chance to see Evil!Hellboy in the first movie since he was out for the count. This would technically be the first time he'd see the crown of fire and horns. Sure, he could have been told and maybe, pushing it a little here, seen it through Liz/HB/Myers thoughts. But I thought his reaction was rather mild.
Another thought was when Nuala and Abe touched hands the first time in the map store, what exactly did Nuala see that made her go "Oh." and Abe answered, "I know, terrible." Did she see everything, like Abe's history before he was the "Sapien" This is speaking strictly of his comic origin since they don't really give much of a history other then finding him in his tank in the movie.
There was a third thought, but now I've completely forgotten it. XD
Edit: Can't remember that third part, but did anyone else laugh at the double S part? I did but no one in the theater seemed to get the dark humor behind.

I'm curious about why you didn't like Liz? Actually I'm curious about everyones opinion on who they liked, didn't liked, etc. I thought she was wonderful incarnation of her comic self.

The reason I didn't like Liz is because I thought the actress, Selma Blair, was trying too hard. She was good in the first movie - but in this one... I didn't think she did a good job acting. -shrug- I dunno, maybe it's just me.
Annnnd. Am I the only one that felt the incest-ness between Nuada and Nuala, xD?

(Abe here, just being lazy in changing names)
Yes! I so saw the love between them. It made me wonder if Nuada could sense the "love" Nuala had for Abe. I mean I'm sure he picked up on it since he spoke to the fishman directly in giving him the crown piece. But I do wonder how much of a connection the twins have.
There was something that bothered me just a bit was Hellboy and Manning's relationship. It seemed to have gotten stretched and thinned from the first movie. I guess it's because I remember the cigar lighting scene. Then when Manning looked in (in the second move) on the wounded Hellboy scene, where Liz and Abe were standing around the big red guy. He was very much the outsider there of this little family. I thought for sure, Red would give a little more respect to Manning.

I think he probably did - the twins connection, I think, is really deep - I mean, because of things like because Nuala knew where the B.P.R.D. was, Nuada knew it was well. That might be some sort of thought-sharing-telepathy stuff. I dunno. I love the twins so much, though, xD
Yeah, that's what I was thinking about to. Maybe between the two movies something happened between them that we didn't see?

Nuala-Abe-Nuada love triangle XD The fanfics that'll come out of that, I fear it just a little. Muahaha!! I play your love interest and brother! We shall have to work on something for the game It seemed quite a bit of time happened between the two movies. Enough for Red to get rid of competition, poor Myers, Red and Liz to get a little "busy" and Washington to bring in a new agent from Germany. I would assume something like that would take a lot of behind the scene red tape.

Bwa ha ha, fan fictions=love. And, we should! Twincest+a fish, for the win! Lol.
Oh yeah, that would be nice, xD They should have done some sort of flashback scene or something... Or maybe cut to a scene with Meyers in Antarctica, or something, lol.
